Veronica was asked to be the guest speaker at this business summit for the “Impact Story” session educating an audience of HR people and managers/owners of large & small companies.  This session is targeting the workplace and to bring about awareness and education on Domestic Violence. As Veronica’s employer was supportive during her very traumatic time and played a fundamental role in keeping her safe at work, other companies are wanting to learn how to help as well…

Veronica has supported the following bills:

Support House Bill #825 – to add stalking as a provision to obtain a protective order

Support House Bill #100 – to create a domestic violence registry much like what they use to track sex offenders.

Also included in her mission to incorporate more proactive laws rather than reactive is to implement a “Zero-Tolerance” on violations of protective orders.
